Transit Master Plan
SPATS is in the process of assessing present and future transit services within the Spartanburg area. With the assistance of URS Corporation, through partnerships with the City of Spartanburg and Spartanburg Area Regional Transit Agency (SPARTA), and with the input of stakeholders, SPATS will formulate and complete a comprehensive Transit Master Plan for the Spartanburg area. Topics to be addressed in the plan will include the evaluation of current and future routes, regional connections, dependent and non-dependent ridership, current and potential funding sources, intermodal connections, and other issues that may be identified by transit stakeholders. It is expected that the plan will be completed in the fall of 2011.
